Whether shelves, closed compartments, drawers or cupboards to the side and above the window – thanks to precise customisation, the window conversion fits perfectly to the window dimensions, wall surfaces and room conditions. This means that every centimetre is used sensibly and the room has a tidy, high-quality look. Plan in advance how many elements your window conversion should consist of and what functions they should perform. Which compartments would you like to be open and decorative? Where do you need closed elements for books, textiles or personal items? The areas above the window are also ideal for rarely used items or seasonal storage. Precise measurements are crucial for a custom-fit window conversion. Therefore, measure the wall surfaces, room height and the exact position and size of the window as precisely as possible. Sockets, radiators, light switches, roller shutter boxes, sloping ceilings and skirting boards should also be taken into account. As customised window conversions or bed conversions often have to be planned down to the millimetre, we offer you our optional measurement service. An external service provider will measure your room precisely using modern laser technology. The data obtained is then used by our interior design consultants to provide you with a free, no-obligation quote – for maximum planning reliability. Once all the measurements have been taken, you can easily configure your window conversion online.Get inspired in advance by the design examples and completed customer projects on our website. In our online configurator, you can specify the dimensions, materials, colours, material thickness and number and size of compartments, doors and drawers. Individual additional options and special requests can also be easily taken into account here. We recommend the support of our interior design consultants, especially for more complex window conversions or combinations with customised door conversions. Our team will advise you free of charge by telephone, video or chat and support you with planning and individual special solutions. Our furniture is manufactured by experienced carpenters in Europe. The wood used comes from sustainable forestry. On request, we will send you wood samples in advance free of charge. Delivery of your window conversion is free of charge to your home within the United Kingdom. You also receive a two-year warranty on your furniture. Assembly is usually carried out by the customer using easy-to-understand step-by-step instructions. Alternatively, you can of course book our professional assembly service.
Depending on the room layout, you will need an installation distance of a few centimetres. You can find the exact distances in the configurator or seek advice from our interior design consultants.
In the final step of the online configurator, select the option ‘Hole rows’. This will provide your shelves with holes spaced 32 mm apart. You can remove the shelves at any time and reinsert them within this grid. This option gives you flexibility and allows you to adapt the shelf to your current needs at any time. However, for taller shelves such as window conversions, some shelf rows must be fixed in place to ensure stability.
Our furniture is made from very high-quality materials and can therefore also be used as a bookcase. To ensure maximum stability and load-bearing capacity, choose solid wood or multiplex materials. In this case, it is also advisable to select a high material thickness. Adding a skirting board also increases the stability of your furniture.
