Our shadow gap system does not require any on-site adjustments, meaning that it can also be self-assembled. You will find the matching cover strips in step 7 of our wardrobe configurator. Custom built-in furniture offers flexible options for interior design. Elements such as clothes lifts, clothes rails, internal drawers, LED lighting, and trouser hangers can be combined as required. This tailor-made design allows you to make optimal use of storage space and adapt the furniture to your personal requirements. Clever interior design makes everyday life easier, while modern LED lighting creates a stylish ambience. Perfect for neat and tidy storage.
At Pickawood Europe, the base of a built-in wardrobe can be customized. You can choose the base height flexibly between 7 and 14 cm to adapt the wardrobe perfectly to your room conditions. An integrated height adjuster ensures that uneven floors can be easily compensated for. It is also possible to plan a recess for baseboards to integrate the cabinet seamlessly into the room. The result is a piece of furniture tailor-made for your home.

Space is precious. That's why we manufacture high-quality built-in furniture that blends seamlessly and harmoniously into your living environment. Unlike freestanding models, built-in shelves and cabinets are connected to the stairs, walls, or ceiling. They thus form a unit with the surrounding space. Using the online configurator, you can select the dimensions you need and choose the finishes and trim strips in your desired color. This allows you to create customized solutions that fit perfectly into your space.
Areas of application for custom-made furniture
Areas of application The classic example is the built-in cupboard. It allows you to make effective use of dead space under the stairs or sloping ceilings. A niche cupboard like this saves space, creates new storage space, and makes cleaning easier by eliminating hard-to-reach areas that are prone to collecting dirt. Custom-made built-in furniture allows you to make full use of the available space. In addition, custom-made furniture is an ideal design element for creating a harmonious living space. For example, built-in wardrobes can be used as room dividers and fitted with doors. The use of niche shelves and cupboards creates a seamless transition to the rest of the interior and provides additional storage space. The fit is accurate to the millimeter. On request, custom-made built-in furniture can also be constructed around corners.
Ordering custom-made built-in furniture online: How it works
Every room is individual and unique. The same applies to our built-in furniture. Whether you order a built-in cupboard or a built-in shelf, we always start with our modern 3D configuration. Using the 3D configurator, you can design your own personal furniture online by entering the exact dimensions for width, depth, and height down to the centimeter. You can also choose the material and decor.
The choice of materials
The built-in furniture is made of sturdy solid wood, multiplex, or panel materials with a coated or lacquered surface or with real wood veneer. There are a total of twelve types of wood to choose from, including walnut, maple, birch, oak, cherry, and pine. Alternatively, you can choose medium-density fiberboard, or MDF for short. This material is very stable and is therefore ideal for making niche shelves that are loaded with books, for example. The surface is either matte or glossy. You can choose your favorite shade from over 200 attractive RAL colors. This allows your built-in furniture to blend harmoniously into your living space. Do you love a natural look? Then order your furniture with real wood veneer. A thin layer of wood is applied to a medium-density fiberboard. This gives the product a deceptively real wood look. At the same time, you benefit from the high stability of the medium-density fiberboard and also opt for a compromise in terms of price. With a surface made of mahogany, teak, walnut, cherry, oak, or maple, you can give your built-in furniture an elegant touch. Premium decor also offers practical advantages. The decors are lighter and ideal for manufacturing larger pieces of furniture. The delivery time for this built-in furniture is usually shorter. The final material available is multiplex. This material consists of several layers of glued birch wood and is extremely stable.
Smart additional options
In addition to entering the length, width, height, material, and color, other factors also play a role. In addition to the external dimensions, you can specify the compartment and column layout during configuration. There are also numerous interesting options available for the interior design. These include, for example, clothes lifts, clothes rails, trouser hangers, and lighting. Optionally, you can get matching 2.5 cm thick cover strips for your custom built-in wardrobe. These cover the furniture seamlessly up to the ceiling and sides. Don't forget to deduct three centimeters on all sides for the installation gap. The shadow gap can be easily closed with acrylic.
Many customers take advantage of this opportunity and put together their own individual designs. However, you can also choose from our pre-designed models. These are based on the designs of our expert interior designers. With just a few clicks, you can adjust the dimensions and add further details.
