Wall shelves made of customised oak are characterised by the fact that they do not stand on the floor. This creates additional space underneath the wall shelf, which makes a room look larger. Therefore, you should always consider hanging shelves as an alternative to standing shelves and cupboards when furnishing your interior. Because wall shelves are not only practical, but also a real eye-catcher.
Our oak wood comes from sustainable forestry and has many positive properties. Solid oak wood has a very even grain and has only a few knotholes. Accordingly, a piece of furniture made of solid oak looks very uniform. It therefore radiates modernity and easily blends in with other furnishings. Of course, wall shelves made of oak are particularly stable and robust. We would be happy to send you an oak wood sample to get an impression of the look and feel.
If you choose oak as the material for your wall shelf, we offer natural and smoked oak. The smoked oak is a favourable alternative to walnut and looks particularly noble due to the dark wood tone. For wood treatment, smoked oak is also oiled. For natural oak, you have a choice of different oilings: Wenge oiled, Mahogany oiled, White oiled, Natural oiled or also Coffee oiled. This gives your oak wall shelf a very individual colour tone.
In general, we offer three different types of custom-made oak wall shelves. There are wall shelves, wall cubes and hanging shelves. The hanging shelves are complete shelves that are suspended from the wall with the help of wall brackets. Hanging shelves have no skirting board and no rear wall. As a rule, the fronts are open, but you can partly choose drawers and doors according to your taste. Then this made-to-measure furniture is a combination of shelf and cupboard. Hanging wall shelves made of customised oak can also be used as floating lowboards, for example. Then they are a special eye-catcher on the wall. In addition, you can also use the wall shelves made of oak as a shelf wall or bookcase.
Custom wall shelves, on the other hand, are individual shelf strips or shelves that are attached to the wall individually or in combination. The individual wall cubes, on the other hand, are rectangular shelf cubes that consist of four sides and are each attached separately to the wall. By combining different wall cubes made of oak, you can create extraordinary eye-catchers in any room.
To enable you to hang your oak wall shelf securely, a wall bracket is built into each vertical cheek. This allows you to mount your custom made hanging shelf invisibly on the wall. Each wall bracket has a load capacity of 60 kg. The more wall brackets are fitted, the higher the load capacity. Please remember that wall shelves made of oak can only be mounted on solid walls. Furthermore, wall shelves must not have back panels and skirting boards.
We use European oak wood from sustainable forestry. The wood scraps are used to create our wood samples, which we will be happy to send you. For your solid oak wall shelf, you have a choice of smoked oak and natural oak. In addition, with natural oak wood you can decide which colour tone your wall shelf should take on through the wood treatment with oil.
If you need more flexibility with your custom-made oak wall shelf, we can gladly produce it for you with a row of holes. We will then drill holes in the side walls at a distance of 32 mm. In this way, you can also change the height of the shelves at a later date. For high wall shelves made of solid oak, however, some shelves must be fixed to ensure sufficient stability.
Of course, we can also produce your solid oak wall shelf with doors. Depending on the dimensions, a door can also comprise several compartments. You can freely decide in the online configurator which compartments should have doors or even drawers. A combination of open compartments and individual doors looks particularly high-quality. We offer you a choice of single doors, hinged doors, folding doors, glass doors or mirrored doors.
If you choose doors and drawers in your wall shelf, you have a choice of up to eight different handle types made of aluminium. Alternatively, you can also choose the push-to-open functionality. Then the respective shelf front opens with a gentle push at the appropriate place. We are also happy to implement your special requests, so we can also produce solid wood handles for your custom-made oak wall shelves.
Of course, you will receive assembly instructions to help you assemble your wall shelf step by step. Alternatively, you can also book an assembly service with us. This is possible both during the ordering process and afterwards. Qualified fitters will then take over the assembly and hanging of your wall shelf. Please note, however, that delivery and assembly are carried out independently of each other.
The exact delivery time depends on various factors: for example, material, complexity and country of delivery. The estimated delivery time is shown next to the price in the online configurator. You will also receive further information on the delivery time in the order confirmation. If we implement special requests for you, the delivery time will be extended by two to four weeks. During Easter and Christmas, the delivery time may be extended by a further two weeks. But the waiting time for your custom made wooden wall shelf is worth it. Because you will receive a unique and unmistakable piece.
